Foreign citizens and stateless persons who have entered the Russian Federation to study, upon arrival at the point indicated in the visa, must apply to the passport and visa service of the university (office 1-05) within 3 working days to notify them of their arrival and registration.

International students whose national passports expire are required to renew or replace them 7 months before their expiration date and submit them to the passport and visa service of the university (room 1-05).

To extend the visa, the necessary documents must be submitted 50 calendar days before its expiration to the passport and visa service of the university (office 1-05).

To live in an apartment, you must write an application addressed to the Vice-Rector for Work with International Students and International Affairs and submit a lease agreement to the Deputy Dean for those living in apartments. Students are required to submit information about the address of their residence to the passport and visa service of the university (office 1-05) within 3 days.

To change their place of residence, foreign students are required to apply to the passport and visa service of the university (room 1-05) to obtain permission. It is forbidden to change the place of residence without permission.

Within three days, the owner of the apartment registers any international students living there. The owner of the apartment must contact the police department for work with migration or a multifunctional center (MFC). The student must be registered strictly at the address of his actual residence.

If it is necessary to travel to other cities of the Russian Federation, foreign students are required to contact the dean's office to work with international students to obtain a travel permit. Without notifying the dean's office, travel to other cities is prohibited.

If an international student was on inpatient treatment the day after discharge, he must contact the passport and visa service of the university (office 1-05).

If an international student lives in a hotel or hostel, he must apply for the passport and visa services of the university (room 1-05) the next day after the end of the stay in the hotel or hostel.

International students who have arrived at VolgSMU to study are required to undergo a medical examination at the Family Medicine Clinic of VolgSMU (20 Kim Street) and fingerprint registration no later than 90 calendar days from the date of entry into the Russian Federation. A medical examination is carried out annually, and fingerprinting is done once. The results of the medical examination and fingerprinting must be submitted to the passport and visa service of the university (office 1-05) within 3 days after receipt.

International students are required to purchase a voluntary health insurance policy.

After graduating from the university, a foreign citizen must leave the Russian Federation within 2 weeks.

After expulsion, international students from neighboring countries must leave the territory of the Russian Federation within 3 days. Students from visa-entry countries expelled from the university must leave the Russian Federation after applying for a transit visa.

When living in an apartment, it is forbidden to disturb the peace and tranquility of citizens from 23:00 to 6:00.

For repeated violations of the rules of residence, registration, and movement on the territory of the Russian Federation, punishment is possible up to administrative expulsion from the Russian Federation without the right to enter for 5 years.

Attendance at practical classes and lectures is mandatory. In the event of an absence from the lesson, the student must work it out. Passes for a good reason are worked out free of charge with permission from the dean's office within a month after the date of the pass. Absences for an unjustified reason are worked out on a contract basis.

In practical classes and lectures, students are required to observe the form of clothing (white coat and replaceable shoes, if necessary, a medical cap).

To study at the clinical bases of the university, students must undergo an annual medical examination.

For compulsory physical education classes, students must undergo an annual medical examination.

International students studying on a contract basis are required to pay for their tuition within the terms stipulated by the contract (before the start of the current semester). In the event of late payment, the student will be suspended from classes while working on a contract basis.

The university administration strongly recommends that you follow the rules of safe living:

• return to the apartment or dormitory in the summer no later than 22 hours and in the winter
• no later than 20 hours;
• do not swim in open water (rivers, lakes, ponds).

In case of any problems, international students are advised to seek help from the staff of the dean's office to work with international students.
