Brel Anatoly Kuzmich (Russia) graduated in 1970 from the Volgograd Polytechnic Institute and in 2003 from the Pyatigorsk Pharmaceutical Academy with a degree in pharmacy. In 1975, he defended his thesis in chemistry. In 1993, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Chemical Sciences and, in 1994, the title of Professor at the Department of General and Bioorganic Chemistry. From 1981 to 1985, Anatoly Kuzmich Brel worked as a senior lecturer and associate professor of the Department of General and Bioorganic Chemistry of the Volgograd Medical Institute, and from 1985 to the present time, he is the head of the Department of Chemistry at VolgSMU. From 1994 to 1995. Anatoly Kuzmich was the dean of the faculty of training foreign students. Since the opening of the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1995, he has been the first dean and, until 2015, supervised the training of specialists in the direction of "pharmacy.". He is a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. He was awarded the honorary badge "For Merit to the Volgograd State Medical University" of the II degree and the medal named after A. Nobel. In 2015, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor of VolgSMU".
