Tyurenkov Ivan Nikolaevich (Russia): in 1969, he graduated from the Volgograd Medical Institute. In 1976, he defended his Ph.D., and in 1987, he defended his doctoral dissertation. In 1988, he was awarded the academic title of professor. In 2011, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2014, he became a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is the head of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy of the Institute of NMFO VolgSMU. Under his leadership, 9 doctoral and more than 40 candidate's dissertations were defended. He was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II degree (2005). He is an Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation (2011)..
